Located in the Sesquilé village, two hours away from Bogotá, the Guatavita Lagoon Park is a unique natural place in Colombia. Here, the Muisca people, one of the most prominent indigenous civilizations in America, used to do a gold offering ritual in the Guatavita Lagoon before the spaniards arrival. This place was destroyed for centuries to sack the gold; Nowadays, the lagoon is part of a unique natural park with high Andean and sub-paramo forests. In this experience, one of our anthropologists or biologists will take you on a beautiful hike to get to the top of the mountain where the lagoon is located. This experience can be taken with the Zipaquirá’s Salt Cathedral.
The 110 USD price per person is for two people for tour, including private transportation. Discounts apply to more people. Please confirm the final price with our service agent.
